BOISE (KTVB) -- A Nampa man is facing a felony charge after police say he assaulted a woman working at St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center.

Jeremy Michael Stevenson, 33, went to St. Luke’s Saturday evening for treatment. That’s when he attacked a nurse’s assistant, grabbing her by the throat and slamming her to the ground, Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea said.

Other staff members at the hospital were able to separate the two, and Stevenson was arrested.

The suspect was booked into the Ada County Jail and charged with felony aggravated assault. He is set for arraignment Monday afternoon.
