BUHL, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) Just after 4 p.m. Monday, the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s office was notified that there was a man who was slumped over in the driver’s seat of a vehicle along River road.

A witness said a passenger could also be seen in the vehicle but appeared to be unresponsive. When authorities arrived at 1600 River road near Buhl, they found that the male in the driver’s seat was deceased.

The passenger was transported to St. Luke’s in Twin Falls for treatment. At this time, Sheriff’s spokeswoman Lori Stewart said they are not releasing the name of the deceased male as they are attempting to notify next of kin.

Authorities are not releasing the name of the passenger as they continue their investigation. When asked if this appeared to be a suicide, Stewart said “No” but would not elaborate. Idaho’s First News will have the latest as confirmed details are released by authorities.
