Lincoln County, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A Washington State man was injured in a ATV accident Tuesday afternoon.

Lincoln County Deputy Jim Gay said the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. near the Lincoln and Jerome county boarder in Lincoln County near the north road. The man, Deputy Gay said, was riding in the sand pits “doing donuts”. The man tells authorities he turned the ATV sharply and stuck his leg out to try and keep it stable.

That’s when the ATV rode up his leg causing the bone to break. The incident happened on Bureau of Land Management land. The victim was wearing a helmet. The deputy declined to identify the victim but did say when he left for the hospital with Air St. Luke’s he was stable and conscious.
