Man Killed Near Bliss Attempting to Pass Semi

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police say a 36-year-old Pocatello man has died after attempting to pass a semitrailer on the median side shoulder of Interstate 84 near Bliss in south-central Idaho. Police say Wirake Charles lost control of his 2003 Dodge Durango at about 7:30 Friday and struck the big rig. Police say Charles' vehicle went off the right shoulder and rolled before coming to rest near the Bliss Rest Area. Police say Charles wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and died at scene. The driver of the semitrailer wasn't injured.
