MALAD, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say a 65-year-old Malad businessman died after he fell off a loading dock and was struck by a truck backing into the area. Oneida County sheriff's officials say F. Dennis Thomas was operating a power lift loaded with food Monday behind Thomas Market. The county coroner's office says Thomas landed on his back and struck his head after the 5-foot fall, but it's not clear whether the fall killed him or if he died when the truck's tires struck him. Sheriff's officials say the truck driver did not know that Thomas had fallen. The Idaho State Journal reports (http://bit.ly/TGGsvT ) the death has been ruled accidental.
