BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 450-ton shipment of oil production equipment bound for Alberta, Canada, has covered 40 more miles to Cat Creek Summit on U.S. Highway 20.

The megaload made the trek from Hammett to Cat Creek Summit early Monday, arriving after 3 a.m. It resumed travel after 10 p.m. Monday. The shipment spent most of last week in Marsing due to the Christmas holiday and to fog. The Idaho Statesman reports the New Year's holiday also will slow its exit from Idaho, as it won't resume travel until Thursday, weather permitting.

The load is limited to traveling between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. It started in Oregon and is expected to pass through Montana before reaching the Canadian line. It is the first of three massive shipments expected.
