RUPERT, Idaho (AP) — The clerk for the Minidoka County driver's license division has been arraigned on a felony forgery charge alleging she falsified her time cards for over a year.

The Times-News reports 52-year-old Alice "Alicia" Daniel was charged Thursday before Magistrate Judge Rick Bollar. Prosecutors allege she falsified her time cards and misused sick leave, costing the county just over $2,000. Her preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 20. She has not entered a plea.

Former Sheriff Kevin Halverson has pleaded guilty to felony misuse of public funds after using a county gas card to put less than $300 in fuel in Daniel's vehicle. He has resigned. Court records allege Daniel and Halverson were having a personal relationship and that she took some sick days and claimed work hours for time she spent with Halverson.
