The Gooding County sheriff says he believes a man who was kidnapped by four armed men has been taken out of state.

Sheriff Shaun Gough says interviews Thursday morning gave officers reason to believe 33-year-old Ramon Enrique Lizarroaga-Felix was taken across state lines by the men who abducted him from his residence southwest of Wendell early Tuesday. Gough says his office is receiving assistance from the FBI, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Mexican Consulate in investigating Lizarroaga-Felix's disappearance. A car the suspects reportedly took from the residence was found Tuesday afternoon two miles northeast of Jerome. Officers seized the vehicle to search it for evidence. Gough says the family is unaware of any enemies the victim may have or any debts that he may owe.
