Mother of Baby Found Dead Told Jerome Sheriff it Died After Birth

Hazelton, Idaho ( KMVT- TV / KSVT-TV ) - Jerome Deputies say they are continuing their investigation into the death of a Hazelton infant.

According to a news release issued by the Sheriff’s office, they spoke with the mother, 22 year old Marisol Flores. She said that her child had died shortly after giving birth at the residence. Authorities responded to the home at 210 East 2nd Street in Hazelton on Tuesday May 13.

Investigators from Jerome are continuing their investigation and are waiting for the final report from the Ada County Medical Examiner’s office to assist them in determining the cause and manner of death. At the scene the deputies were assisted by officers from the Twin Falls Police Department and detectives from the Idaho State Police.
