UPDATE: According to Idaho State Police, six vehicles, three of which were semi-trailers, were involved in the crash. Efrain Orozco Gil, 43, of Eden was hauling hay with a Peterbilt truck when he failed to yield to slowing traffic ahead of him and collided with the five other vehicles. Patrick Kane, 54, of Edgewater, Fla., who was driving one of the other semis had to be taken to the hospital along with Orosco Gil. The crash blocked traffic for about four hours.

JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) – Crews are at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Jerome County, Idaho State Police said a little before 5 p.m. Friday.

The crash is reported near milepost 198, west of Burley, according to ISP. Both westbound lanes of travel in the vicinity of the crash are blocked at this time.
