HAYDEN LAKE, Idaho (KREM)-- Several people were injured early Thursday after driving their cars into a gaping hole on a washed-out road in North Idaho. It happened around 3 a.m. on Rimrock Road at York Court, near Hayden Lake. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office found two people had driven their cars into the large gap in the road that spanned about 10 ft. across and 8 ft. deep. Clifton C. McMahon, 24, was headed southbound on the road when he drove into the gap, according to sheriff’s deputies.  Melissa Ehrmantraut, 31, and passenger Anthony Moreno, 47, then slammed into the hole as they travelled northbound on the road.  All three were transported to Kootenai Health and Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
