Former Nampa Teacher Pleads Guilty To Sexual Battery of Minor

CALDWELL (KTVB) -- A former Nampa high school teacher accused of having sex with a student has pleaded guilty to sexual battery of a minor child 16 to 17 years of age.

Tomas Michael Fisher, 28, appeared in a Canyon County courtroom Tuesday.

Fisher taught Spanish at Skyview High School and resigned in July. He was arrested Sept. 1 for sexual battery.

Court documents say the student told authorities that she had consensual sexual contact with Fisher multiple times.

Fisher posted a $100,000 bond Tuesday and was released from the Canyon County Jail.

His sentencing is set for Feb. 29 at 11 a.m.
