New Fire Forcing Evacuations N. of Featherville

Elmore County, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Kelly Creek Fire is burning in the Sawtooth National Forest, just southwest of the Baumgartner Camp Ground area. The U.S. Forest Service ordered a Pre-Evacuation Order from Willow Creek to Skelton Creek effective Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. That's due to increased fire activity Monday.

Elmore County deputies will be going door to door and to camp grounds to give the order to residents and campers. The Elmore County Sheriff is encouraging people who may have placed their campers in any area above Featherville to Skelton Creek for camping this upcoming Labor Day Weekend to go pick up their trailer and follow law enforcement orders while in the area.
