TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Be prepared to stop at a new traffic sign in Twin Falls.

The City of Twin Falls will install a new east and west stop signs on Addison Avenue at the intersection of Hankins Drive right next to D&B Supply, today. There is already stop signs on Hankins for north and south traffic. The new signs will make the intersection a four-way controlled stop in all directions. Flashing beacons will alert drivers of the new stop signs.

An electronic message board will also warn drivers of the new sign. Some time down the road, in the near future, a traffic light will be installed at the intersection. The city is preparing for increased traffic in the area because of the new Pillar Falls Elementary School to the north. The city says a new four-way stop will be much safer and reduce accidents.
