Some old footage of Bradley Cooper back when he was a struggling actor has surfaced to put one of the funniest men on the planet in his place.

In a 2008 radio interview with British comedian and writer Stephen Merchant (who helped create 'The Office' with Ricky Gervais), Louis C.K. made an offhand remark about the long-running TV show 'Inside the Actor's Studio,' which features famous actors talking to acting students about their craft. They also answer questions from the audience.

Louis jokes that most of these young students always start their questions by stating that they are aspiring actors and wondering what they can do to perfect their craft. Then the 'Louie' star tears into these students, saying that if you have to do that, you're not destined for fame: "There's no way you ask Sean Penn a question and then you're gonna be huge!"

As you can see from the above video, a young acting student indeed asked Sean Penn a question during a 1999 episode of 'Inside the Actor's Studio.' Recognize him? It's Bradley Cooper, who's since gone on to star in movies like 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'The Hangover' movies.

Not only did Cooper ask Penn about his movie 'Hurlyburly,' he also asked Robert De Niro, in another episode of the show, about the 1990 drama 'Awakenings.'

Don't get us wrong, we absolutely love Louis C.K., and think he's one of the wittiest and funniest guys around. But we're also thrilled to see just how wrong he was about 'Inside the Actor's Studio.' Best of all, that video ends with a scene from 'American Hustle' where Cooper punks out Louis. Icing on the cake.
