Some self-declared Internet experts believe they know the best places to live in Idaho. Breaking news: we are not on the list.

Meridian may be a great place to live (if you love being in a town named after a line on a globe)

I normally enjoy stuff that Only In Your State shares. In this case, not so much. They just updated their best places to live in Idaho list. If you take the time to read it, you'll notice something strange. There are ZERO Magic Valley towns on the list.

To be fair to Only In Your State, they weren't relying on their own opinions for this list. According to their site, they grabbed numbers from a website called Area Vibes.

I could make arguments that some of our cities should be on this list, but I'm going to focus on their #1, Meridian, Idaho. Meridian may be a great place to live (if you love being in a town named after a line on a globe), but it's not all sunshine and roses there either. For example, I hear their pet squirrels can be kind of edgy.

Oh, and if you ask the Meridian Police Department, they'll tell you the dogs in that town are really swell, too.

I can't believe the Area Vibe people think the cost of living in Meridian is better than Twin either. Maybe they should have checked Zillow before they made this lovely (and inaccurate, in my opinion) list.

Listen, Meridian and some of the other Idaho abodes on the Only In Your State list definitely have their good points. But, hey, how about not leaving us completely off of the next list. I'm not sure our self-esteem can take it.
