TWIN FALLS, Id. (KMVT / KSVT) There's a new Boys and Girls Club in the area, a project a long time in the making.

The Buhl unit held its grand opening Thursday afternoon for the whole community.

Prior to the new facility, the programs were in classrooms at local schools.

The Buhl group includes 225 kids ranging in age from 5 to 18 years old.

They have been in the new facility since June, but held the official ribbon cutting Thursday.

"So today we were wanting to recognize the donors and all of the people's hard work. This project has been in the works since 2003 so it has taken a long time, a lot of time, a lot of effort, and money to get this going. And so we really want to recognize all of our donors that have supported the campaign to have this club in Buhl,” said Lindsey Westburg, Executive Director.

The programs include before and after school care, theater, arts, and athletics.

You can register for any of the programs online or by going into the club.
