Northern Idaho Boy, 10, Dies in ATV Accident

KELLOGG, Idaho (AP) — A 10-year-old northern Idaho boy has died in an all-terrain vehicle accident.

The Shoshone County Sheriff's Office tells The Spokesman-Review that the accident Tuesday evening happened on Moon Gulch Road north of Interstate 90.

Officials say the boy was late getting home and family members found him unconscious with the ATV on top of him.

Police say family members removed the ATV and took the boy home where they called 911.

Emergency responders applied life-saving measures and transported the boy to Shoshone Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is planned.

The boy's name hasn't been released.
