BURLEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - A woman died in a single-vehicle rollover Monday morning after the driver supposedly fell asleep at the wheel.

According to Cassia County Sheriff’s Office Martin Romero was traveling westbound on 500 South at about 579 East when he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel. Romero’s vehicle went off the roadway, came back onto the roadway and then rolled.

Martin, 17 and his mother, Heydi Flores, 34, both of Burley, were ejected from the vehicle. Flores was pronounced dead at the scene. Martin was taken via ground ambulance to Cassia Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
