One Killed in Jerome House Fire

JEROME, Idaho (KLIX)- A mobile home burned down early Tuesday morning in Jerome killing one person. According to the city, fire crews responded to West 6th street between Birch and Cedar Streets after a report of a fully engulfed structure at around 3:26am on October 1st. The Jerome Fire Department was able to contain the blaze and extinguish it. It is not known what caused the fire at this time. Officials say Mike O’Conner of Jerome died in the home. The city says there was no indication of smoke alarms in the home.
