JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) A 33 year old Gooding man was killed Monday evening on Interstate 84 in Jerome after loosing control of his SUV and being hit by three vehicles.

The 7:30 p.m. crash blocked westbound lanes of travel for nearly five hours according to Idaho State Police. Joseph Edwards died from his injuries after he lost control of his 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. The SUV hit a guard rail and then was hit by three other vehicles, two of which were trucks.

The passenger in the SUV, Shauna Edwards, 33, also of Gooding, was taken to a Magic Valley Hospital first and then later flown to a Boise hospital. Police have not determined if Shauna had a seat belt on. Everyone else involved were wearing seat belts. Idaho State Police is still investigating this crash.
