Sad news to pass along today. Adam West, who in the 1960's achieved fame as TV's Batman, has passed away. He was 88.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news. As Adam shared on his website, he had homes in both California and Idaho, spending much of his time in Ketchum.

Most of us came to know Adam when he made Batman come alive on TV in the 1960's.

Several listeners that came across Adam when he was in Ketchum have commented what a kind and unassuming man he was.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Adam suffered from leukemia.

Rest in peace, Batman.
