CASCADE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in western Idaho say a 67-year-old Oregon man drowned in Cascade Reservoir while trying to launch a boat. The Valley County Sheriff's Office tells the Idaho Statesman that Bryon Williams of Terrebonne, Oregon, died Wednesday. Lt. Dan Smith says Williams fell into the 51-degree water while attempting to launch a boat during a windstorm. Emergency responders found Williams in the water after about 30 minutes but attempts to revive him failed and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith says Williams might have had a pre-existing medical condition.
