Pickup Slams Into Idaho School Bus, No Injuries

EAGLE, Idaho (AP) — Sheriff's officials say no one is injured after a pickup truck ran into the back of a school bus full of children on a snowy road in southwestern Idaho. Ada County sheriff's spokesman Patrick Orr says in a statement that Eagle police cited 32-year-old Cynthia Ortiz, of Nampa, saying she was driving too fast for the slippery conditions. The sheriff's office says her pickup truck slid into the back of the Meridian School District school bus Wednesday afternoon. Officials say middle-school students were on the bus, but neither they nor Ortiz was injured. Orr says Ortiz's Ford F-150 was traveling in the lane next to the bus when she tried to brake at a stoplight and lost control. The sheriff's office says she wasn't driving very fast, but the speed was still too high for the road conditions.
