AMERICAN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Three people managed to survive and escape injury after their plane crash-landed in Power County. KIFI-TV reports that the three survivors of the Sunday crash were all from Boulder, Colorado.

Twenty-three-year-old Grzegorz Marzec had piloted the plane, and the passengers were 26-year-old Dominika Maria Kus and 21-year-old Monika Olczyk. The Power County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that the 4-seat plan ran out of fuel, causing the pilot to crash-land about three miles west of Bonanza Lake.

One of the passengers was able to use her cell phone to call for help. Marzec told officers they had been traveling from San Francisco and heading to Yellowstone National Park on vacation. The crash continues to be investigated.
