A man who fled to Colorado after shooting his girlfriend at a Twin Falls hotel in July of 2010 will spend the next 15 years behind bars for the crime. Thomas Trevino Junior has pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder with a weapons enhancement charge for the shooting death of his girlfriend. Jill Gelever was shot July 5th at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Twin Falls. She died from the wounds 10 days later.  Trevino was originally charged with 1st degree  and 2nd degree murder.  After the shooting he fled to Mesa County Colorado. He was caught two days later and was  extradited back to Twin Falls County. As part of the plea deal he will serve a fixed 15 years in prison for the crime. Trevino will be formally sentenced on Thursday.
