POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Two dogs are being held in quarantine after they attacked a 10-year-old girl in Pocatello.

The Idaho State Journal reports that the girl was leaving her friend's house on Monday when a pit bull and a blue heeler attacked her. She suffered tears to her face and upper lip and puncture wounds to her wrists and thigh, along with other scratches and scrapes.

The girl's grandmother is pressing charges and says she hopes the dogs are euthanized.

Pocatello officials say the dogs are under a 10-day quarantine. Since it's their first bite offense, if found guilty, they will be ordered to be spayed an neutered, microchipped and placed in a more strict environment.
