TWIN FALLS, Id ( KMVT - KSVT ) Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for the shooting that took place last week in Twin Falls. According to court records, 27-year-old Fred Paiz shot at 23-year-old Marcus Loya multiple times, striking him in the forearm. 23-year-old Kayla Gutierrez was with Loya, she told police they met Paiz and one other male at Harry Barry Park to sell a cell phone around 1 a.m. September 1st.

That's when Paiz allegedly opened fire on Loya and Gutierrez. Police were able to tie Paiz to the crime by the vehicle used during the shooting. He is charged with aggravated battery by use of a deadly weapon and aggravated assault by use of a deadly weapon, both felonies.
