BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have identified a body found in the Snake River as that of an Idaho man who ran from police three weeks ago.

KTVB-TV reports that the Washington County Sheriff's Office says the man was 20-year-old Danny Havens of Fruitland. Havens was missing for nearly a month after leading police on a chase down Interstate 84 from Fruitland in late September.

After his pickup hit spike strips, he ran off on foot and jumped into the Snake River to evade police. Police say he drowned after jumping into the water.
