TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Emergency crews were called to a fatal early morning house fire in Twin Falls. According to Public Information Officer Josh Palmer, the Fire Department responded to the call at around 2:14AM at 327 5th Ave E.

Flames were spotted in the windows along with heavy smoke by a neighbor. Firefighters were able to control the blaze by 2:30AM. Palmer says at least one person was found in the home unresponsive by firefighters. Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced a 54 year old woman dead.

The woman's body has been handed over to the Twin Falls County Coroner. Identification of the victim is pending until family can be notified. Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire, but it is not believe to have been foul play. The streets in the area had to be shut down during the investigation a few hours.
