Police Release Names In Murtaugh Shooting
There are still few details of what happened in the shooting in Murtaugh last week. But Monday the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Dept. released the names of those involved. Jose Luis Mucio-Olayo, 42, of Murtaugh was killed. Javier Carbajal-Galvan, 27,of Murtaugh and Edgar T. Garcia, 23, of Burley were both injured. The shooting occurred on the night of April 24. Twin Falls County Sheriff’s deputies and the Idaho State Police responded to a report of a fight when they received another call that shots had been fired. When police arrived on scene around 9 p.m., they found two men with gunshot wounds and a Chevy Suburban fully engulfed in flames. Mucio-Olayo was airlifted to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center and died on the way to the hospital. Carbajal-Galvan was taken by ground ambulance to St. Luke’s. Garcia drove himself to the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley. No word on what caused the fire. So far no arrests have been made.
