A man who is accused of trying to ram his vehicle into a Twin Falls police car in early April is scheduled for trial in September.  40 year old Lee Randel Fife is charged with felony aggravated assault and felony eluding officers.  During the ordeal Fife was shot by a Twin Falls police officer.  He has since recovered.  The officer, Isaiah Day, was placed on administrative, which is standard policy after a shooting.  And the result of that investigation by the Ada County Prosecutor will be announced at 11 o’clock this morning.  It also is standard procedure for another county prosecutor to investigate a case involving the police department to avoid any conflicts of interest.  The result of the investigation will be announced at the office of Twin Falls County Prosecutor Grant Loebs.
