FISH HAVEN, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in eastern Idaho say two people have drowned at Bear Lake but have provided few details.

The Bear Lake County Sheriff's Office says an 11-year-old girl was reported missing Wednesday at the lake that is divided in half by the Idaho-Utah border.

The sheriff's office also says that a 37-year-old woman and 8-year-old girl were taken to Bear Lake Memorial Hospital where the woman was pronounced dead.

Officials say the body of the missing 11-year-old was recovered from the lake at about 7 p.m. Wednesday. It's not clear what happened or if the victims were related.

The Bear Lake County Sheriff's Office didn't immediately return a call from The Associated Press on Thursday.
