Proost Produce Stands have become something Magic Valley residence look forward to every year.

Proost Farms provided many of us with fresh, local produce in two different locations. One produce stand was located on Poleline Road, and the other stand was located in front of their farm on Addison Ave.

Let's face it, by the time winter is over...we have forgotten what fresh fruits and vegetables taste like and we are too busy to plant our own garden. So, we are all disappointed to know that the Proost family is hanging up their hats.

According to magicvalley.com the farms started off as a hobby, but over six years the farm has grown into a thriving business that requires long hours and a lot of hard work. So, the family has decide to close their farm and retire.

An equipment auction will be held Saturday morning by Masters Auction Service. The sale will include:

  • 13 Tractors
  • Forklifts
  • Trailers
  • Farm Equipment
  • Planters
  • Harvesting Equipment
  • Machinery
  • Special Vegetable Farming Equipment

The auction will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 14 at 2794 Addison Avenue East in Twin Falls.

While we wish the Proost Family a happy retirement, we are sad to see them go.
