TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Several topics will be discussed at this evening's Twin Falls City Council meeting, including a public hearing and a proclamation on the consent calendar.

The proclamation is for the “People’s Christmas Tree” – also known as the Capitol Christmas Tree that this year comes from Idaho’s Payette National Forest – which will make a stop on Nov. 14 at the Twin Falls City Park on its way to Washington DC. Activities that day are scheduled from 6-8 p.m.

The action items on this evening’s agenda include a request to amend the city’s budget to include $592,403 (funded by Water Fund Reserves and borrowing from the arsenic bond funds) for the design and construction of a 24-inch waterline from Wills Booster Station to the intersection of 3600 North on Washington Street; modifying the city’s definition of “Developer” for the purpose of reimbursing infrastructure development; and, among a couple of other items, a request to adopt a zoning change.

A public hearing to adopt the city’s comprehensive plan Grow With Us as the city’s comprehensive plan is scheduled to begin no earlier than 6 p.m. The City Council meets every Monday, unless otherwise noted, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Twin Falls City Council Chambers, 305 Third Ave. East.
