I'm starting to think that I should just take the time to list all the food that's safe to eat. That would take less time. Please forgive my sarcasm, but there is yet ANOTHER food recall. Quaker Oats granola bars are being recalled due to possible listeria contamination. If you're keeping score at home, this makes 5 food recalls in the last 2 weeks.

Here's the word from the PR Newswire press release about this recall.

The Quaker Oats Company, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, Inc., today announced a voluntary recall of a small quantity of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars after an ingredient supplier was found to have distributed sunflower kernels that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes (L.mono). There have been no reported illnesses to date. However, Quaker is initiating the voluntary recall in an abundance of caution to protect public health.

I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow it's announced that oxygen is no longer safe to breathe. And, I'm only partially kidding. The food industry situation has gotten that bad. Time to go plant a garden. Then, we'll probably find out that seeds are bad for you, too. Sheesh.
