Republicans around the state will be gathering in Twin Falls next year for their state convention.

The convention is normally held every two years with the 2010 convention being held in Idaho Falls.  Twin Falls was picked after a weekend meeting and announced by the Idaho executive director of the Republican Party, Jonathan Parker.  The convention is usually held in June.  Local officials say the convention, which normally attracts about a thousand people, will be a great economic boost for the area.
