Requiem for Blue Angels & Thunderbirds

The crash of two jets last week during precision flying exercises brings home a sad truth.  The decline of the U.S. military as government shifts spending to social programs.  The morning after accidents involving the Air Force Thunderbirds and the Navy Blue Angels we spoke to a former member of one of the teams.  Lt. Colonel Steve Hyle spared no criticism when it comes to skilled flyers being forced to pilot increasingly decrepit aircraft.  You can hear our conversation below:
