REXBURG, Idaho (AP) — It will cost $39 million to relocate the Rexburg-Madison County Airport in eastern Idaho.

That's what a consulting firm has told local officials who say a bigger airport is needed for economic development.

Officials say the 420-foot runway at the current airport can't be expanded because there's a river at the end of it.

Rexburg City Councilman Christopher Mann tells KIFI-TV (http://bit.ly/1vbiWgL) that studies are underway to consider options, including keeping the current airport.
