(KLIX)-Several road projects have been put on the fast track for completion. The Idaho Transportation Board gave the green light for roughly $180 million dollars of highway construction projects. According to ITD the goal is to improve mobility, safety and economic opportunity for Idahoans. One of the projects is the Junction of Interstate 84 and Highway 93. Stage two of the project is expected to begin later this year at the cost of nearly $15 million dollars. Before the boards decision there hadn’t been a construction date set. The project would build a new eastbound interchange, the westbound was built in 2003.
