TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – The Twin Fall School District says a substantial portion of one of its new elementary schools has been completed ahead of schedule. Meridian-based Engineered Structures Inc. has completed work on Rock Creek Elementary School more than three months earlier than expected.

What that means fiscally for the district is that it can stop paying general conditions on the project, saving more than $200,000.

“While ESI won’t be turning over the keys to the building just yet,” reads a news release by the district office, “substantial completion is a big step in the construction of the school building.”

Rock Creek Elementary is located on Grandview Drive North and Federation Way.

The second elementary school under construction is Pillar Falls, located east of Hankins Road. ESI also is contracted to build this school, which is slated for completion in July 2016.
