HOLLISTER, Idaho (AP) — Police in southern Idaho say an 18-year-old Rupert man has been charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident after an SUV filled with teens leaving a drinking party rolled on a rural road near Hollister.

The Times-News  reports Brandon J. Day was also charged with reckless driving during his arraignment Friday. A report from the Twin Falls County sheriff's office states witnesses reported that about 50 teens were drinking and partying in the South Hills on June 29, and that some of them were trying to drift cars around corners.

Police say Day overcorrected and rolled the vehicle, causing one passenger to lose consciousness. Police say the teens didn't seek medical help for the passenger who passed out. The damaged car was found early the next day.
