Rupert Two-Year-Old Dies From Gun Shot Wound

A 2-year-old Rupert boy is dead after suffering a gunshot wound to the head. The Times-News reports that the toddler was shot by his 3-year-old brother. Rupert Police Chief Randy White says the shooting happened in northeast Rupert, at about noon Wednesday. The boy was taken to Minidoka Memorial Hospital Wednesday afternoon and later transferred a Boise hospital, where he died from his wounds early yesterday morning. The names of the boys have not yet been released. Stevenson told the Times News that the case remains under investigation by the Rupert Police Department and Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
