UPDATE, 2:45 p.m.: According to the Idaho State Police, at least one person was taken to the hospital after an accident that involved a school bus Monday morning on U.S. Highway 30 at 2300 North.

Filer resident Raechel Ruhther-Dalos, 34, was stopped at the stop sign at that intersection in a 2014 Chevy Cruz, and Clyde Johnson, 62, also of Filer was stopped behind her in a school bus occupied by 35 children. According to ISP, Johnson believed Ruhther-Dalos had proceeded through the stop sign, and so he began moving forward and struck the Chevy.

Ruhther-Dalos was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center. One child from the school bus may have been transported by personal vehicle, according to ISP. Seat belts were worn by both drivers. No lanes were blocked while police worked the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.

TWIN FALL, Idaho (KLIX) A school bus and passenger car collided near Filer Monday morning.

According to Twin Falls County authorities, the sheriff's office responded but Idaho State Police is handling the investigation. The crash happened in front of the Filer High School just after 8 a.m. According to dispatch, no injuries had been reported or blockages. More information to come.
