Semi Hits Small Car Near Flying J

JEROME, Idaho (KLIX)- State police responded to a crash between a tractor trailer and a small car Monday afternoon. According to Idaho State Police a tractor trailer being driven by Thomas Padilla of Colorado was pulling out of the Flying J truck stop when he hit a Ford Focus being driven by 19 year old Taylor Simpson. Simpson was headed north on Highway 93. The truck driver failed to yield to the Focus. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. There were no reports of injuries. Both lanes of travel were blocked for about an hour.
