TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- A train collided with a semi-truck shortly before noon in Twin Falls. According to Josh Palmer city information officer, the Eastern Idaho Railway locomotive was headed west at a slow rate of speed and hit a semi-truck on its passenger side near the Twin Falls Livestock Commission stock yard. No injuries were reported and several streets in the area had to be closed for a little more than 30 minutes. Traffic was held up at the Blue Lakes South intersection because the train was sitting at the crossing. Palmer says the fuel tank on the semi was slightly damaged. Twin Falls Police is continuing their investigation and have not announced any citations. The railway will conduct their own investigation with help from Idaho State Police.
