Be aware there are several types of children's medicines sold by CVS that are being recalled. Here is the information that was released by the FDA.

This is a voluntary recall by the manufacturer due to variations in the amount of a key ingredient. Check your medicine cabinets and see if you have these UPC codes:

  • UPC: 050428424162

(Please note that CVS has already taken a market action on this product as of September 30, 2016) Lots: 41116 and 43436

Here's the danger of these medications as stated by the FDA press release.

The homeopathic products have a very small amount of belladonna, a substance that can cause harm at larger doses. The company is voluntarily recalling the product out of an abundance of caution.

Be sure to check the full FDA information if you find that you have the medications with these codes.
