ABOUT KELLY KLAAS:

At just about the dawn of civilization back in 1969, at the age of 16,  Kelly Klaas started his radio career in his hometown of Twin Falls, Idaho.  And he has been intimately involved in broadcasting ever since.

His first love has always been news and opinion and his time on Top Story has been the highlight of his long career.  But, he has experienced nearly all aspects of the industry including sales, engineering, announcing, and producing commercials.  But expressing his opinion and inviting others to express theirs has always been the catalyst the drives him.

And if interacting with his vast listening audience each day wasn’t enough, he then enjoys going home and talking on his “ham radio” to people all over the world until the wee hours of the night.  He also enjoys woodworking in his well equipped wood shop and shooting his handguns in his back yard shooting range.

Kelly has been married to his wife, Connie, a school teacher, for over 30 years and has three children and a host of grandchildren.  He is a lifelong resident of the Magic Valley and is always anxious to promote his hometown whenever the opportunity arises.

ABOUT JILL SKEEM:

More then just a pretty face with some interesting views…Jill Skeem relocated to the Twin Falls area in December 2003 after graduating from the Strengthening Health Institute, a premiere macrobiotic educational facility located in Philadelphia, P.A.  and is also a graduate from The Ohio State University. Jill has been studying food since 2001 and is a certified macrobiotic health counselor, educator and chef.

Jill has taught cooking classes at Rudy’s –A- Cook’s Paradise and CSI community education classes focusing on health and wellness.  Jill  lectures around the Magic Valley to companies and organizations, is a contributing writer to the Times-News where she was featured for her work with the former Managing Editor, Chris Steinbach, and is the food critic for the popular “Eat Cheap” Series. She has also contributed articles to the Spirit of Valley, Southern Idaho Living, Inside Twin Falls.com publications. In addition, she has a private macrobiotic health counseling practice. She founded the Magic Valley Leads Group, is a Board member of the Rotary Club of Twin Falls and the co-host with Kelly Klaas on Top Story in the mornings on 1310 KLIX.
