Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Following an arrest last month, John Moore returned to work Tuesday morning as the Director of SIRCOMM, or Southern Idaho Regional Communications.

On Friday the Joint Powers Board unanimously voted to reinstate Moore. They said a lot of thought went into the decision after talking with lawyers and reviewing reports from the Idaho State Police.

Moore was arrested on March 9th when he drove a company car into a phone box. He was charged with driving under the influence. The police report is complete but a toxicology report is still pending.

However the board felt they had enough evidence to put Moore back in his position as director. Leon Mills, Part of the Joint Powers Board, noted, "we viewed it, we looked at it and we followed what the regulations in our handbook would require us to do and he took responsibility for all of the things that happened and it was a unanimous vote to reinstate him."

Moore is scheduled to appear in court on April 27th for a pretrial conference. During the time of his absence he was suspended with pay. We reached out to Moore for comment earlier Tuesday and he did not return our phone call.
