POCATELLO, Idaho (KLIX) Eastern Idaho is nearing record snow levels this winter as another storm dumps more snow. According to the National Weather Service in Pocatello, a Facebook post indicates snowfall totals have reached historic levels between November 28 and January 4. The NWS is predicting that by the end of the day snow totals will have topped the record set in 1984. At the time the most snow the eastern side of the state recieved was 38.7 inches. This morning the NWS measured snowfall at 37.5 inches. Meanwhile in Boise the snow level of 10 inches has tied with records set in 1985 at the airport. The NWS in Boise is reporting that as of 6 a.m. more than two and a half inches of snow has fallen since Tuesday night.
